Listening Music Therapy

Delivering this programme within primary/secondary schools, we hope to offer this service to women within the criminal justice system. Our vision is to expand delivery to wider community services such as: prisons (prisoners & their families), men groups & rural communities throughout Scotland. We are also very keen to work in partnership with other organisations and are currently applying for funding to hopefully be able to do this.

In more detail...

This programme has proved to provide & deliver educational tools & alternative strategies to children & adults around mental health & emotional literacy, whilst promoting positive psychological well-being.

Music is a universal language and its therapeutic benefit is widely documented. It can help develop cognitive skills, encourages memory attention and fosters increased communication / understanding. Lorraine regularly witness how their programme engages & focuses individuals to do the task required of them and have received very positive outcomes from the groups delivered to date.

Requirements for Mental Health care has reached epidemic levels and despite increasing Government investment, services remain unable to meet such demand.

Lorraine will work with you to tailor their programmes to suit your needs. Delivery can be over 1 day or weekly sessions. Costs for this will be dependent on requirements.
